Surrey, BC – A woman has been charged in connection with a stabbing that left a female victim with life-threatening injuries over the weekend. The incident occurred early on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at approximately 2:16 a.m. in the area of 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard.
Surrey RCMP initially responded to a report of a possible pedestrian collision, but upon arrival, officers discovered a woman suffering from stab wounds. It was quickly determined that the victim had not been struck by a vehicle, as previously reported. She was transported to hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
A female suspect was arrested nearby and taken into custody without incident. The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Section has taken over the case and believes the stabbing to be a targeted attack.
On the same day, 36-year-old Jennifer Kipp was charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. She has been remanded in custody and is awaiting her next court appearance.
As the matter is now before the courts, no further details have been released.
