Surrey, BC –Two people have been taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of 96 Avenue and 140 Street in Surrey earlier this morning.
According to Surrey RCMP’s Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU), officers responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash at approximately 10:40 a.m. Surrey Fire Service assisted in removing the driver and passenger from one of the vehicles before they were transported to the hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are not considered serious, and no other injuries have been reported.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. In the meantime, multiple road closures are in place around the intersection, though police anticipate reopening some directions soon. Authorities are advising motorists to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
