Surrey, BC – The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday, December 15, in the Newton area. The incident caused damage to a vehicle and a residence but fortunately resulted in no injuries.
Around 1:30 a.m., police responded to reports of gunfire outside a home in the 7700 block of 126A Street. At the time of the shooting, several residents were inside the house asleep.
An investigation revealed that multiple bullets struck a vehicle parked in the driveway and the side of the house. Officers from the Surrey Police Service, with support from the Lower Mainland Integrated Forensic Identification Service (IFIS), conducted an extensive examination of the scene.
Two suspects, described as adults dressed in dark clothing, were seen fleeing the area on foot.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Surrey Police Service’s Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST). Anyone with information is urged to contact Surrey Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
