PEEL REGION – The Peel Regional Police have issued a public statement addressing rising community concerns about safety, particularly at places of worship, in light of recent demonstrations and perceived threats. Police officials clarified that no direct threats have been reported against any place of worship in the Peel Region.
To reassure the public, Peel Police have increased their presence around places of worship and are actively collaborating with community leaders, organizations, and local stakeholders to address safety concerns and reduce tensions.
The police department also disclosed ongoing coordination with the Consul General of India and community centers to mitigate potential risks. In a bid to maintain public safety amid heightened community tensions, organizers agreed to postpone upcoming Consular Camps to allow time for concerns to ease and minimize any negative impact.
Peel Regional Police emphasized their commitment to the safety and security of all residents in the region, encouraging continued cooperation to ensure a peaceful environment.
