Amritsar- Dr. Karamjit Singh, a distinguished academician with nearly four decades of experience in teaching and research, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. The announcement was made via an official order from the Governor’s secretariat, and his tenure will span three years.
Dr. Singh, an expert in Finance with an MCom and PhD to his credit, has held prominent positions in academia. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Vice-Chancellor of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala, since 2020.
Over the years, he has contributed significantly to educational leadership, including serving as a syndicate member of Panjab University, Chandigarh, and being part of the UGC Expert Committee. Recognizing his lifelong contributions, Dr. Singh was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
His extensive experience and vision are expected to bring transformative growth to GNDU during his tenure.
