Surrey- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced that Boulangerie La Parisienne Ltd. is recalling a brand of bread rolls in British Columbia due to undeclared egg on the label.
The recall of Easy Eats Pandemanila Kalihim (Philippine Bread Rolls) was initiated following a consumer complaint.
It says that The Kalihim pan de pula (Philippine Bread Roll with Red Custard) and Kalihim pan de ube (Philippine Bread Roll with Ube Custard) are being recalled.
The CFIA is investigating the safety of this product, which may result in additional recalls. “The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace,” the agency stated.
CFIA says, “ Do not consume recalled products to which you are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.”
The food agency also says,“Do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products.Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.”
