Abbotsford, BC – A 52-year-old Abbotsford resident was arrested for impaired driving yesterday morning at 9:00 AM after attempting to flee from police. This marks his third impaired driving offense in under three years. As a result, his Class 1 driver’s license has been suspended, and he is now required to appear in court.
The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) continues its crackdown on impaired driving, removing 135 impaired drivers from local roads in the past 41 days. Despite strict penalties, the issue persists, posing a serious risk to public safety.
“Road safety must be a priority for everyone who gets behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. Our officers will continue to conduct enforcement with a zero-tolerance approach,”AbbyPD stated.
Authorities urge the public to make responsible choices and report suspected impaired drivers to keep Abbotsford’s roads safe.
